Emoi is a product of our own. It's where we test the hard parts of real-time software on ourselves before we build them for anyone else.

The brief
Pair strangers by how they feel right now, keep both of them anonymous, and make sure nothing they say is stored, while still keeping out bad actors.
What we built
Match on a feeling
You pick an emotion and wait for someone who picked the same one. When they arrive, you're connected.
Anonymous by design
Sign-in is with Google so we can keep the service safe, but neither person ever sees who the other is. Each chat gives both people a random name.
Nothing kept
Messages pass through and are gone. If either person leaves or loses connection, the chat ends for both after a short grace period.
Admin panel
A web dashboard for moderation and running the service, separate from the app people chat in.
